Raymond Frenken, the founder and chief editor of EUX.TV, will lead these "Video literacy" training sessions. Prior to EUX.TV, Frenken worked for the Dow Jones, Bloomberg and Financial Times news services as well as broadcaster CNBC Europe.


A course overview:

  • Tuesday:
    • 13:00 Welcome and Introduction by Raymond Frenken.
    • 14:00 Presentation on Copyright for VJ by Kapeller Bernd
    • 15:00 Introduction into Camera/Lightning by Joao Leite; (hands on)

  • Wednesday:
    • Intro to storytelling and editing
    • Importance of proper script
    • Make script and begin filming

  • Thursday:
    • 'Editorial' meeting on reports: what's still missing and what remains to be done?
      Finish filming and begin editing.

  • Friday morning:
    • Last opportunity for filming during the morning, Finish editing by end of afternoon.

  • Saturday:
    • Evaluation of reports and course.
