Spotlight on: Ebyline

Ebyline is a Los Angeles-based company that provides software and services for professional journalists and news publishers around the globe. Founded in 2009, Ebyline helps news organisations and reporters exchange trusted, original content anywhere and anytime. Editors can assign stories to freelancers or syndicate their own articles and photos to other publishers. Ebyline automates the approval and submission process, and takes care of payment.

The “virtual newsroom” has recently launched video and audio capabilities at its portal. In adding this functionality, Ebyline hopes to attract television and radio producers.

“Publishers and broadcasters are rapidly evolving from traditional news outlets to digital media companies,” said Bill Momary, CEO and co-founder of Ebyline. “The addition of video and audio capabilities to our already full-featured text offering will help newsrooms of all types cater to the digital world.”
