The Dutch emerge as world’s most fanatical Twitterers
The Dutch are the most active twitterers in the world. Japan and Spain come second and third, research by Semiocast reveals. The bureau analysed 383 million Twitter.com accounts, done before 1 January 2012. The US is the country with the most subscriptions with 107.7 million accounts. In this list, the Netherlands comes 17th. But for the use of Twitter, it heads the list. Some 33 percent of Dutch twitterers made at least one tweet between 1 September and 30 November 2011. The average is 27 percent. Japan is second with 30 percent, followed by Spain at 29 percent. (Nis News)
