‘NYT’ launches latest digital edition

The New York Times partnered with Adobe Systems to launch its newest digital newspaper, Times Reader 2.0. People can access Times Reader 2.0 on Windows, MAC OS or Linux operating systems. 'The Times is committed to developing innovative products to meet the needs and demands of our readers on whichever platform they choose,' Robert Larson, the New York Times' vice president of digital production, said in a statement. 'Times Reader 2.0 brings together the rich narrative of reading the print version with the benefits of online media such as integrated search, news updates and video journalism.' Some new features of the Times Reader include downloads of the latest news every five minutes, videos, and a full text search. It is available for USD 3.45 per week for non-print subscribers (and is free to those who receive the New York Times at home). (Editor and Publisher)
