Jordan: Arab women journalists to discuss ‘Laws and Ethics’

Some 50 print, radio, television and internet journalists - all of them women from around the Middle East - will gather to discuss their profession in Jordan's capital Amman on Monday. The four-day conference is organised by a non-governmental organisation, Amman's Centre of Arab Women Media Professionals (CAWMP), and the German-based Konrad Adenauer Foundation. Entitled 'Arab women in media - between the law and ethics' the gathering aims to generate ‘a solidarity pact between female Arab media operators,’ CAWMP president Mahasin al-Imam said. Delegates attending include media operators form Syria, Lebanon, the Palestinian territories, Iraq, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Qatar, Yemen, Sudan, Oman, Saudi Arabia, United Arab Emirates and Jordan.
