CBSNews.com and washingtonpost.com to pool election coverage
CBSNews.com and washingtonpost.com have agreed a content-sharing partnership for coverage of the 2008 US presidential campaigns. Under the terms of the agreement, washingtonpost.com will get video coverage from CBS with news, analysis and commentary from the Washington Post's staff appearing on CBSNews.com. The partnership will also see reporters and correspondents from the Post and CBS jointly participating in live interviews and other online activities. The deal is similar to the one announced between New York Times and NBC News/msnbc.com, last month, to share their news content for next year's presidential race. The announcement of the CBS/Post content deal comes the same day as the Post reported that its own radio station is to go off the air next month after failing to attract enough listeners and losing money.
